On Friday, September 25th, 2009, I was given the privilege of representing RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) on ABC’s, Good Morning America. In light of the Mackenzie Phillip’s story, I am very thankful that RAINN and the GMA producers approached me to tell my story. Hopefully, placing a “non-celebrity” face on such a tragic event can lead doors to open for other survivors, or current victims, to come forth and let the public know that sexual/incestual abuse is a very real and tragic event in the lives of many young women.
They are not alone and I hope Mackenzie’s story, my story, and the hundreds of others, encourage others to come forth and tell their story before its too late. For more on the story, please visit the following links:
